This second audio file has been mixed with a royalty-free ambient background music, using Adobe Audition (with subscription license)

This third audio file has the same mix of audio,
but this time Audacity was used. I had to download and install Lame version 3 99.3 for Windows to allow Audacity to export into an mp3 file. |

I have worked with audio before. During that time, however, I was in a group. There was proper equipment, because I was a Digital Arts and Computer Animation student in college. No matter what the setup, though, a place to record your audio in silence is a must. If this is not possible, then you can at least own a noise-free microphone. When dealing with sound, the recording part is the hardest. If you had not done your job well on this part, then more likely you will not be able to create and edit a good final cut.
Normally, I would have a complete blast about anything related to multimedia. After all, I was a multimedia teacher, although I taught 3D animation instead of video editing or audio mixing. With the limited WIFI connection that I get to use, however, I had met it with apprehension. There was very little time to really engage. There is still no electricity at home. There is no WIFI. My classroom is frequently noisy with second graders even during lunch time. Recording and editing audio in a silent place is a struggle.
With audio, I would give myself more time. I will have to find a nice microphone that I can use to not only amplify what I am saying, but also to make sure background sounds are not included. My day time is chaotic and my nights may be completely dark and silent or lit but buzzing with the sound of the generator. With audio, I would like more people to listen to and for me first before I publish anything. My voice sounds strange to my own ears. I need someone who can tell me if my recording has hit the right note.
Being able to not only add sounds, but to manipulate the parts where the voice goes up and down or trail off nicely (fading out) to full effect are means that I need to still practice on. My life is full of sounds at my workplace, but to capture great sound, I actually need a more quiet place and a more "staged" setup.
